ENIT (Agenzia Naziolane del Turismo), the Italian State Travel Agency established in 1919, started a program of commissioning leading Italian artist to create posters promoting travel to Italy. These posters, which were original lithographs, have long been among the mostwidely  collected of all travel posters.
